Changelog

What shipped, dated and in plain words

Product changes as they reach production — no roadmap promises, no 'coming soon'. If it's listed here, it's live. For what ZChat deliberately does not claim yet, see the capability map.

September 2026 — follow-up after the chat

Replies a website visitor missed are emailed to them. A positive rating invites the customer to review you on a link you set per site, and a negative rating opens a follow-up ticket. AI replies can now be switched on for email and Slack, and photos and PDFs sent on messaging channels reach the inbox.

  • Missed-reply emails
  • Review invitations
  • AI on email and Slack

September 2026 — channel setup guides

Step-by-step guides for all 12 channels, with exactly what to paste and where each webhook goes. Channels now show Ready only when every required credential is saved, and pretty-printed credentials are accepted.

  • 12 setup guides
  • Honest readiness
  • Clearer setup

September 2026 — channels, actions and flows

Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, WhatsApp through Meta's Cloud API, Discord, LINE, Microsoft Teams and an AI phone agent joined the inbox. Thirteen built-in AI actions, custom API tools, a flow builder with templates, six AI providers, an AI agent per site and single sign-on on every plan.

  • 12 channels
  • 13 AI actions
  • SSO on every plan

September 2026 — a chat window for every visitor

The chat window speaks seven languages, opens full screen on phones, and keeps each visitor's conversation private to their own browser. Two-factor sign-in and an audit log are in the dashboard's Security page.

  • Seven languages
  • Mobile full screen
  • Two-factor sign-in

August 2026 — pricing tools and honest comparisons

A free support-cost calculator that compares flat per-seat, per-resolution, and credit-metered pricing on your own volume. Industry pages for SaaS, ecommerce, and agencies. Eight new guides including alternatives reviews for Drift, Tawk.to, Help Scout, Gorgias, LiveChat, and HubSpot chat — each one says when the competitor is the right choice.

August 2026 — security hardening

All inbound channel webhooks (SMS, WhatsApp, Slack, email) now fail closed: a configured channel with no signing secret rejects unsigned requests instead of accepting them. Widget CORS also fails closed in production. Verified by dedicated regression tests.

  • Fail-closed webhooks
  • Fail-closed CORS
  • Regression-tested

August 2026 — installable dashboard with push alerts

The agent dashboard installs as an app (PWA) and sends Web Push notifications when a visitor requests a human — so handoffs reach your team even with the tab closed.

  • Installable dashboard
  • Push on handoff
  • Works tab-closed

July 2026 — answer quality tooling

AI Answer Sandbox to test replies against your knowledge before visitors see them, a golden-questions regression runner with webhook alerts when a previously passing answer starts failing, structured CSAT (score plus comment), and copilot reply drafts that show which knowledge article grounded them.

  • Answer sandbox
  • Regression runner
  • Visible grounding

July 2026 — inbox operations

Bulk conversation actions, realtime push updates in the inbox, load-balanced auto-assignment, and workspace GDPR export.
