Terms of Use

Website and software terms

Use of this website and purchases of ZChat are subject to the terms below.

These terms describe the general rules for using zchat.com and the commercial framework presented on the site. Specific order pages, invoices, license files, or written agreements may add more detailed terms for a particular purchase or customer relationship.

Product model

Commercial structure

ZChat is marketed as self-hosted software sold on a one-time purchase basis per production domain unless otherwise stated.

Operational model

Customers deploy and operate ZChat in their own environments, so infrastructure, retention, and runtime responsibility remain with the customer.

Use of the website

By visiting or using zchat.com, you agree to use the site lawfully and not in a way that interferes with the website, its users, or the business behind it. You may not attempt unauthorized access, misuse forms or downloads, or use the site to transmit unlawful or harmful material.

Product information and evaluation

We make reasonable efforts to describe ZChat accurately, but screenshots, examples, feature descriptions, and implementation guidance may change over time. Localhost or evaluation use does not itself grant a production license.

Orders, licensing, and purchases

Unless otherwise stated in a separate agreement or order-specific document, ZChat is presented as self-hosted software purchased on a one-time basis per production domain. A purchase grants the customer the right to use the software under the applicable license terms, but does not transfer ownership of the software or its intellectual property.

Support and updates

Availability of updates, support, or renewal-related services may depend on the package purchased or later support arrangements. Any support scope, update eligibility, or commercial renewal terms offered outside the baseline website description may be defined in order details, support policies, or direct written communication.

Customer responsibilities

Because ZChat is self-hosted, the customer is responsible for their hosting environment, deployment decisions, backups, security controls, retention policies, applicable legal compliance, and the way the software is configured and used in production.

Intellectual property

The website, product materials, documentation, code samples, branding, and software remain protected by intellectual property law and may not be copied, redistributed, or republished beyond the rights granted through the applicable license or written permission.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Except where a separate written agreement states otherwise, the website and related materials are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, software, or related materials.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Deployment

Install on Windows or Linux, behind IIS or Nginx, in a VM, or in Docker if that fits your stack.

Commercial model

One-time purchase, perpetual license, and no monthly per-agent bill attached to growth.

AI Flexibility

Use Ollama locally or connect OpenAI and Anthropic with your own provider accounts.
